Schwinn Le Tour Luxe 1984 Vintage Barn
Find. Vintage 12 speed touring bike in Champagne color. Renowned touring bike. Schwinn "Light Weight" made in America
(reportedly in March 1984). Dusty with surface rust but low mileage, ready to restore condition. Serial number SC409411 is located under the bottom bracket. Lugged 4130 Cro Moly double-butted steel frame.This bike has all components as shown on original price list including SunTour Mount Tech derailleurs, "Schwinn Approved" Dia Comp Brakes, reflectors and fitted Blackburn rack. See the original description in the photos. The one exception is a Mavic rim on back wheel. Most labels need replacement. When I intended to restore this I removed the original Schwinn Passage 27x1-1/4 tires, they showed very little wear but were very hard. I don't have time to take on this project so I am offering it for sale as is, in un-restored condition. Check the photos. What you see is what you get ...plus the saddle. All the bearings need repack; needs chain replacement; general restoration required. Saddle is included but it needs re-upholstering or replacement. Approx. frame size: seat tube 25 in. CtT, 24.5 in CtC; top tube 22.7 CtC; (63.5 cm CtT, 62.2 cm CtC seat tube, 57.7 CtC top tube). No noticeable dents.
